Sexual bonding is one of the primal forces of the Universe. It carries us along on its waves and we are the instrument it plays in the symphony of procreation and continuance of the life force. I wrote this song several years back when a relationship I was in began to devolve into a series of deadlines, corporate commitments and intolerable time away. Eventually the Lady had a corporate assignment that took her away forever. Live and learn.

the tide just pulls me under and I can't quench the fire,

When your voice is like a whisper of the rushing of the sea,

your touch is as persistent as the hunger driving me,

White Heat, Hot night on the desert

White heat, two bodies come together

all night long, all night long

When your footsteps are the echo of the saying of goodbye,

 I know I have to let go, though its only for a while,

I know you got your deadlines,  God knows I've got mine

At least I've got my heart beat to help me keep track of the time

When You're silk and steel and satin the object of my desire,

I don't quite know what happens But I just can't fight the fire

The price I pay for loving you is the time when you're away,

The ache of desire is the way of all flesh,  it's  a straight line from love to pain
